What is Sandbox

You play the person in front of you, hole by hole. Win it, halve it, or lose it.

A match ends when it is mathematically over, the way match play is supposed to.

How it works

1. 01Tell us when you can play. A window, not a tee time — “any time between 5 and 8.”
2. 02We sift everyone’s windows every half hour and pencil you into a group of similar rating.
3. 03An hour before you play it locks, and you get your exact tee time. Nothing is charged until you check in at the course.

The rating

Every result moves your Sandbox Rating — a match-play number from 2.000 to 8.000.

Not a handicap. It’s how we find you a game worth playing.
